Drowning Myth (2021) 12 minutes 49 seconds
A dark surveillance film.
I always seem to have likened the creatures of the deep sea to the darker and more problematic parts of the psyche. Tormented nights with repetitive dreams playing and replaying over and over are familiar to many, though often forgotten on waking. Until we were able to send cameras down into the depths of the oceans, these fanged, saucer-eyed hunters, stalkers and devourers existed unseen.
This wordless film imposes a night surveillance gaze and leaves a question among these intimate hours.
